Tamarind Rice
Tamarind Rice or Puliyodarai is a traditional rice rice prepation in South India. Using Kerala Tasteville’s puliyodarai powder makes it super easy with no compromise on the traditional taste. Best served with Kerala Tasteville’s super crunchy Vadams and Papadams.

Servings – 6 people
Ingredients:
1 big bowl cooked rice (grains separated and not mushy)
Kerala Tasteville’s Puliyodarai powder – 3 tbsp
Gingelly oil – 2 tbsp
Peanuts – Handful
Curry Leaves – 1 strand
Red chillies – 2
Turmeric powder – 1/4th tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
- In a pan, add oil and roast the peanuts. Keep the peanuts aside.
- In the same oil, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Then add red chillies and roast a little.
- Add in Kerala Tasteville’s puliyopdarai powder, turmeric powder, mix it well and cook until oil separates.
- Add cooked rice, salt, curry leaves and mix it until all combines well.
- Garnish with peanuts and serve.
